There are nearly 2,000 homeless persons in Fairfax County. For over twenty three years, WFCM has successfully provided answers and solutions to our neighbors in need in Fairfax County, Virginia within the geographic areas of Centreville, Clifton, Chantilly, Fair Oaks, and Fairfax Station. Nearly five percent of the people who live within these geographic boundaries are living below the poverty line; many of these are families with children. In an economic downturn, these people find it even harder to afford rent, food, and other necessities.

Through its continued service and interaction with the neediest in the local area WFCM has developed and implemented multiple modes of assistance and ministry, including: a food pantry, a thrift store, emergency financial assistance, a “mercy closet”, homelessness education, a backpack program, seasonal food baskets, a transportation service, and a furniture ministry.
