Volunteer

The WFCM Volunteer Program is an essential part of our operation.  Volunteers unselfishly give their time and are dedicated to serving our neighbors in need.  WFCM could not provide the services to our local community without volunteer support.  Our volunteers are dedicated to serving their neighbors in need and we cannot thank them enough!

Opportunities for volunteer service vary. For example they:
  • Serve on our Board of Directors, and they act as liaisons between us and our supporting churches.
  • Pick up and deliver food from local grocery stores and restaurants, stock shelves and assist clients with shopping.
  • Answer the phones, greet clients and make appointments.
  • Teach a budgeting class, provide transportation to medical appointments, meet with new clients and those needing financial assistance.
In FY 2014, our organization had over 600 volunteers giving over 15,500 hours of time!
